I took my kids (ages 6-18) on the Amaroo for a whale watching tour this last weekend. The captain and crew were very helpful all the way through - they even gave my boys some bread to throw to the fish while we were waiting to depart! The boat was immaculate, comfortable, and quiet. There was no diesel fume smell, the boat was stable and smooth in the waves, and the bathroom was kept pristine. The crew were knowledgeable and professional at all times. We saw a minke whale and two humpback whales that we followed for a while, and were able to get very close. My boys loved hearing the whales breath when they surfaced. After watching the whales, the boat headed close to shore just outside the beach surf where a few large pods of dolphins were playing. Dolphins surrounded the boat, jumped out of the water, slapped their tails, and played in the turquoise water. It was a surreal experience, and definitely the highlight of our trip to Australia! I highly recommend this trip to anyone in the area, from locals to visitors!

We had a great time on the Amaroo. The staff are very good and did everything possible to make sure everyone on board got great views of dolphins. The commentary is very informative without being too much.

Nice new cruise ship. Amazing commentary and had the best day with whales swimming alongside our cruise for the longest time! Highly recommended.

Such a cool unique experience, I've lived in the Great Lakes region for 30 years and never have I got so close to the beautiful Humback whales of the east coast . The captain and crew do such a great job to not only find the whales but create a personable experience with the whales . Highly recommend this to anyone wondering what these amazing creatures look like up close and to learn all about them from the amazing hosts . Six stars !!!!!
